The scheme “Pragati Scholarship” is implemented by the Department of Technical Education, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to encourage higher education among girl students of the state by providing financial assistance in the form of a scholarship. Under this scheme, scholarships are awarded to 81 girl students enrolled in Diploma courses and 50 girl students enrolled in Graduation courses in Uttarakhand.

Benefits

Financial assistance of ₹50,000/- per annum is provided for girl students at the Diploma and Graduation levels.

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a girl student.
  • The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
  • The applicant’s annual family income must not exceed ₹8,00,000/-.
  • A maximum of two girl children are allowed per family to avail of this scholarship.

These scholarships are administered by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Under the AICTE scheme, applications are invited through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) between September and December. Applicants must first apply online through the institute where they are studying. The application is verified by the Principal, then by the State Level Officer (S.L.O.), and finally forwarded to AICTE, New Delhi for approval.
