The “Nishulk Ganavesh Yojana” is a scheme under the Samagra Shiksha Programme, implemented by the Secondary Education Department, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide free uniforms to all girl students studying in Classes 1 to 8 of government and government-aided schools, as well as to all boys belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, and boys from the General category who fall under the Below Poverty Line category.

Benefits

  • Under this scheme, two sets of uniforms per student are provided through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) or SMC (School Management Committee).
  • The benefit covers students in classes 1 to 8 of government and government-aided schools, specifically: all girls, all SC/ST boys, and General category boys from BPL families.

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
  • The applicant must be either a girl student, or a boy student belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, or General Category BPL family.
  • The applicant must be studying in Classes 1 to 8.

Application Process

Offline:

There is no selection process; all eligible students from Classes 1 to 8 are provided free uniforms or the corresponding financial assistance automatically through the school system.

Documents are required as per the guidelines of the respective school.
