Overview
The scheme “Machhali Palan” is implemented by the Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority under the Department of Disaster Management, Government of Uttarakhand. It provides financial support for repairing or replacing equipment damaged due to disasters.
Benefits
Compensation amounts:
- ₹6,000/- for partially damaged boats
- ₹3,000/- for partially damaged nets
- ₹15,000/- for repurchase of completely damaged boats
- ₹4,000/- for repurchase of completely damaged nets
- Investment subsidy of ₹10,000/- per hectare for fish seed farms.
Eligibility
Applicant must be a fisherman from Uttarakhand. Assistance is provided for damage or loss caused by natural disasters.
Application Process
Offline
Damage is verified by the concerned Patwari and recorded in the P-20 form. This is verified by the Tehsildar and Sub-Divisional Magistrate. Once the District Magistrate approves, relief funds are disbursed at the Tehsil level.
