The scheme “Assistance for Damage to Agricultural Land and Other Losses” is implemented by the Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority under the Department of Disaster Management, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide financial relief to farmers whose agricultural land has been damaged due to natural disasters such as floods, landslides, avalanches, or river diversions.

Benefits

  • Debris removal and leveling: ₹18,000/- per hectare for removal of sand/sediment (exceeding 3 inches) for land up to 2 hectares. Minimum ₹2,200/- per beneficiary.
  • Land damage relief: ₹47,000/- per hectare for land damaged due to landslides, avalanches, or river diversions. Minimum ₹5,000/- per beneficiary.

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
  • The applicant must be a farmer/family who has suffered disaster-related losses.
  • The beneficiary must not be receiving benefits for the same loss under any other scheme.
  • The land must be legally owned as per revenue records.

Application Process

Offline

  • Information about the disaster and damage is recorded by the Patwari in Form P-20.
  • The report is verified by the Tehsildar and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate.
  • Approval is obtained from the District Magistrate.
  • Relief funds are disbursed at the Tehsil level upon approval.

Documents Required

  • Form P-20 Entry Confirmation (recorded by the concerned Patwari)
  • Other supporting documents as required
