The “Assistance Scheme for Handloom Spinning-Weaving Women Workers” is implemented by the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Department under the Department of Industries, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide financial support to traditional women workers whose primary occupation is handloom weaving, spinning, or related weaving activities.

Benefits

Under this scheme, for providing handloom / pantloom / frameloom and other related tools and equipment to selected women workers, 90% of the total cost (up to a maximum of ₹25,000/-) will be borne by the department, while the remaining 10% will be contributed by the beneficiary herself.

Eligibility

• The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
• The applicant must be a woman worker belonging to a family whose ancestral occupation is weaving, spinning, knitting, or allied handloom activities.
• Preference is given to those with experience but lacking their own loom.
• The worker must be registered with the Government of India or Uttarakhand.

• Application forms can be obtained from the General Manager, District Industries Centre, or downloaded from the departmental website.
• Submit application with Aadhaar, bank details, and registration certificate through the GM of the concerned District Industries Centre.
• Selection is done by a district committee and forwarded to the Directorate of Industries for approval.
• Approved funds (90%) are transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bank account.
