The “Vadh Se Bachaye Govansh Ko Sahayata Yojana” scheme, by the Animal Husbandry Department, Rajasthan, aims to ensure the welfare of cattle saved from illegal slaughter or smuggling. Registered cow shelters (gaushalas), municipal bodies, Panchayati Raj institutions, or other approved organizations are entrusted with the custody of such cattle. Financial assistance is provided for their fodder and care for the duration of custody or up to one year, whichever is shorter.

Benefits

  • Financial assistance of ₹40/day for large cattle and ₹20/day for small cattle.
  • Support is provided for a maximum of one (1) year or the custody period, whichever is shorter.

Eligibility

  • Registered Gaushalas/ Nandi Shalas/ Kanj Houses/ Local bodies/ Panchayati Raj institutions/Other approved institutions which are taking care of cows rescued from cow smuggling/ slaughter.

Application Process

Offline

  • Step 1: Collect the application form from the office of the District Joint Director, Department of Animal Husbandry.
  • Step 2: Fill in the details and attach the required documents (FIR copy and approval).
  • Step 3: Submit the application to the office of the District Joint Director, Department of Animal Husbandry.
  • Step 4: The application will be reviewed and approved by the District-level Gopalan Committee.
  • Step 5: Upon approval, funds will be disbursed to the organization.
