The scheme “Replanting & Rejuvenation of Coconut Garden (R&R)” by the Coconut Development Board is implemented by the Department of Agriculture, Puducherry, to support coconut farmers via DBT mode.

Benefits

  • Cutting & Removal: @ ₹ 1,000/‐ per palm (max ₹ 32,000/ per hectare).
  • Assistance for Replanting: @ ₹ 40 per seedling (max ₹ 4,000).
  • Integrated Management Practices: @ ₹ 17,500/‐ per hectare in two annual installments (up to 4 hectares per farmer).

Eligibility

  • All coconut farmers with valid identity cards or authenticated land records.

Application Process

Offline

  • Step 1: Visit Uzhavar Udhaviyagam or the Office of the Additional Director of Agriculture (Horticulture) to get the form.
  • Step 2: Fill the form and attach required document copies.
  • Step 3: Submit to the concerned authority.
  • Step 4: Receive a unique identification number as acknowledgment.

Documents Required

  • Farmer identity card with land survey details.
  • If no card: Sale deed, partition deed, gift deed, or will.
  • For tenants: Letter of consent from Institutions/Trusts and a cultivation certificate from the Agriculture/Revenue department.
