The “Refund of Contribution” is a Welfare Scheme by the Puducherry Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. The Board repays the amount of contribution paid by the deceased beneficiary to the nominee of the deceased member. The amount is credited within 7 days through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be the nominee/dependent of a deceased registered Construction Worker.
  • The deceased must have been a citizen of India and registered with the Board.
  • The deceased must have been between 18 and 60 years old during the preceding 12 months in construction work.
  • The deceased must have contributed regularly and not defaulted for more than one year.

Application Process

Offline

  • Step 1: Nominee should visit the Office of the PBAOCWWB (Thattanchavady, Puducherry) or download the application from the Citizen’s Charter (Page 77).
  • Step 2: Fill the form and attach self-attested documents.
  • Step 3: Submit the form within two months from the date of death.
  • Step 4: Request an acknowledgment receipt.

Documents Required

For Registration: Application form, Age proof, Experience Certificate, Worksite details, Blood group proof, Photographs, Ration Card, Aadhaar, Bank details, Nomination details, and Revenue/Social Welfare certificate.

For Application: Original Last Subscription Bill, Board ID Card, Aadhaar, Ration Card, Burial Permission Letter, Death Certificate, Nominee’s Aadhaar and Bank Pass Book, and Proof of relationship.
