The “Natural Death Benefit Scheme” is a Welfare Scheme by the Puducherry Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Labour Department, Union Territory of Puducherry. Through this scheme, financial assistance of ₹70,000/- is extended to the nominees/dependents of the deceased Construction Worker, apart from the ₹70,000/- extended through the LIC. The amount is credited through DBT.

Eligibility

• Applicant must be the nominee/dependent of the deceased worker.
• The deceased must have been a citizen of India and registered with the Board.
• The deceased must have been aged between 18 and 60.
• The deceased must have contributed regularly and not defaulted for more than one year.

Application Process

Offline

Step 1: Nominee visits the Board office to obtain the application form (or from Citizen’s Charter).

Step 2: Fill fields and attach mandatory documents.

Step 3: Submit to the authority.

Step 4: Request a receipt.

NOTE: Application must be submitted within two months from the date of death.

• Last Subscription Renewal Copy.
• Death Certificate.
• Proof of Relationship of the Nominee.
• Ration Card, Aadhaar Card, Bank Details.
