The Government of Puducherry introduced the HIV / AIDS Pension Scheme to extend a helping hand through monthly financial assistance to HIV/AIDS Affected People so that they could defray some petty personal/ medical expenses without depending on others.

Benefits

• ₹ 1500/- per month (Age less than 60 years).
• ₹ 2000/- per month (Age 60 to 79 years).
• ₹ 3000/- per month (Age 80 years and above).

Eligibility

• Must be a resident of UT of Puducherry.
• Must be a registrant in a designated ART Centre (e.g., IGMC&RI Puducherry, JIPMER, ART Centre Nagapattinam, Calicut, or Kakinada) taking regular treatment.

• Puducherry: The Deputy Director (Social Defence), Old Age Pension Section, Sithankudi.
• Karaikal: The Child Development Project Officer, Karaikal.
• Mahe/Yanam: The Welfare Officer, Mahe/Yanam.

Processing Time: Selection is periodical, depending on vacancies and availability of funds.
