Khet Talai Yojana under the Agriculture Department of Rajasthan Government focuses on solving the water scarcity problem for irrigation. The state government provides subsidies for the construction of farm ponds (Khet Talai) so that farmers can collect rainwater to irrigate their fields.

Benefits

  • SC/ST, small, and marginal farmers: 70% of unit cost (max ₹73,500/-) for raw ponds; 90% (max ₹1,35,000/-) for plastic lining ponds.
  • Other category farmers: 60% of cost (max ₹63,000/-) for raw ponds; 80% (max ₹1,20,000/-) for plastic lining ponds.
  • Minimum Capacity: Subsidy is payable only on ponds with a minimum 400 cubic meter capacity.

Eligibility

  • Applicant must be a Farmer and a native of Rajasthan.
  • Individual farmers must have minimum cultivable land of 0.3 hectares.
  • Joint account holders must have a minimum of 0.5 hectares in one place.

Application Process (Online)

Official Portal: https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in/register

  1. Register via the SSO portal using Jan Aadhaar or Google.
  2. Login and click on the “RAJ-KISAN” option.
  3. Under “Farmer”, click “Application Entry Request”.
  4. Search using Bhamashah Family ID or Janaadhaar.
  5. Select the person and scheme name.
  6. Complete Aadhaar Authentication and provide required details (Bank, Disability, Verification).
  7. Upload documents and Submit.
