The “Deepawali Cash Gift Scheme (PULWS)” is a Welfare Scheme for the Unorganized Workers in Puducherry by the “Puducherry Unorganised Labourers’ Welfare Society”, Labour Department, Union Territory of Puducherry. The Society extends ₹500/- to the Unorganised Workers as a Cash Gift during the festival of Diwali.

Eligibility

• The applicant should be a citizen of India and resident of Puducherry UT.
• The applicant should be an Unorganized Worker (e.g., Drivers, Tailors, Barbers, Domestic Workers, etc.).
• Enrolled with the Puducherry Unorganised Labourers’ Welfare Society.
• Age: 18 to 59 years.
• Must pay an annual subscription of ₹100/- and a registration fee of ₹25/-.

Application Process

Offline

Step 1: Visit the Office of the Puducherry Unorganised Labourer’s Welfare Society, No.1, Rue Sufferen, Puducherry to obtain the free application form.

Step 2: Fill in the mandatory fields, paste your photograph, and attach self-attested copies of required documents.

Step 3: Submit the application form to the concerned authority.

Step 4: Obtain a receipt containing the date, time, and unique identification number.
