The “Award of Scholarships to Outstanding NCC Cadets of the UT of Puducherry” by the Directorate of School Education aims to support and recognize excellence within the National Cadet Corps.

Benefits

• Senior Division Cadets: ₹500 per month.
• Junior Division Cadets: ₹250 per month.
• Slots: 34 fresh scholarships are awarded every year.

Eligibility

• Citizen of India and native of Puducherry (birth or 5 years residence).
• Attended 75% of parades and the eligible number of camps in the year.
• No disciplinary discharge from the Institution or NCC.
• Divisions: Senior Division Boys (up to graduation), Senior Wing Girls, Junior Division Boys (up to 12th Std), and Junior Wing Girls.
• Note: Awardees cannot receive other regular scholarships/stipends (except fee concessions).

Application Process

Offline

• Step 1: Visit the Company/Troop Commander to request the application form.
• Step 2: Fill in mandatory fields and attach self-attested documents.
• Step 3: Submit to the Company/Troop Commander.
• Step 4: The NCC Unit Officer scrutinizes and forwards applications to the Group Commander, NCC HQ, Puducherry.

Documents Required

• Nativity/Residential Certificate.
• Stamp-sized Photograph and Aadhaar Card.
• Public Information Certificate (PIC).
• NCC Certificate and Camp Attendance Record.
• Character Certificate (stating no disciplinary issues).
• Marksheet/Degree Certificate (level appropriate to the division).
