The scheme “Award of Pre-matric Scholarship to Scheduled Caste Students Studying from VI to X Standard in Government Schools and Government Recognized Private Schools in the Union Territory of Puducherry” is implemented by the Adi Dravidar Welfare Department, Government of Puducherry.

Objective

To provide financial assistance to Scheduled Caste students to complete their education up to the secondary level and avoid dropouts.

Benefits

The Scholarship shall be granted for 10 months in an academic year:

• VI to VIII Standard: ₹150/- per month (₹1,500/- per annum).
• IX & X Standard: ₹250/- per month (₹2,500/- per annum).

Eligibility

• Boys and girls belonging to Scheduled Caste Community studying from VI to X Standard.
• Native of Puducherry (birth or 5 years residence).
• Must secure promotion to the next higher class annually.
• Annual income of parent/guardian shall not exceed ₹24,000/- (or the BPL limit prescribed).

• Step 02: Obtain Student Registration ID.
• Step 03: Login and select “Fresh Application”.
• Step 04: Fill in the application screen details.
• Step 05: Final Submit the form.
