The “Sarna / Jahersthan / Hadgadi & Masna Protection and Development” scheme by the Department of Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, Minorities, and Backward Classes Welfare, Government of Jharkhand, aims to preserve and develop sacred tribal sites. Under this scheme, protection, fencing, infrastructure development, and beautification measures are provided to ensure the conservation of tribal culture and traditions.

Eligibility

The site must be an officially recorded Sarna, Jahersthan, Hadgadi, or Masna location.

The concerned site should be under tribal community usage and cultural significance.

The beneficiary community must form a designated committee consisting of tribal members only.

Gram Sabha selection and approval are mandatory for project initiation.

The site must be registered under Revenue, Registration & Land Reforms Department records.

Technical Assessment & Approval:

A review is conducted for feasibility and budgetary sanction.

Administrative Sanction:

Final approval is granted by the concerned department.

The approved funds are released to the Beneficiary Committee.
