The scheme “Organizing Block Demonstration on Polythene Mulch Technology in Groundnut” by the Agriculture-Farmers Welfare Department, Tamil Nadu, is designed to support farmers by providing ₹4,000/- for input costs and an additional ₹4,000/- to cover land with polythene sheets per hectare. It aims to encourage the use of advanced agricultural technologies to enhance crop yields, specifically in groundnut farming.

Benefits

Financial Assistance: An assistance of ₹4,000/- towards the cost of inputs to organize the demonstration and ₹4,000/- to cover the land with Polythene sheet per hectare will be provided.

Eligibility

The beneficiary should be a Farmer.

The beneficiary should be a resident of Tamil Nadu.

The beneficiary should produce and supply Foundation and Certified Class seeds to the Department.

Application Process

Offline

Step 1: Collect the application form from the nearest Agricultural Office.

Step 2: Fill out the application form with the required details and attach mandatory documents (self-attested, if required).

Step 3: Submit the form to the concerned office:

Village Level: Submit the application to the Assistant Agricultural Officer.

Block Level: Submit to the Agricultural Officer or Deputy Agricultural Officer.

District Level: Submit to the Joint Director of Agriculture.

Documents Required

Proof of identity (Aadhar card, Voter ID)

Land ownership documents or lease agreement.

Proof of seed production and supply to the Department.

Bank account details.

Any other documents (if required).
