Introduced in 2006-07, the “Mukhya Mantri Balika Poshak Yojna” aims to promote education among girl children by addressing barriers to school attendance, such as the lack of proper clothing. Under the scheme, girl students enrolled in Classes VI to VII in government schools receive a pair of school uniforms. This initiative seeks to improve enrollment, retention, and educational outcomes for girls.
