The scheme “Pension Scheme for Cancer Patients” was launched by the Directorate of Social Welfare and Social Education, Government of Tripura. The scheme aims to provide a monthly pension of ₹2,000/- to persons suffering from cancer.

Eligibility
The applicant should be a resident of Tripura.
The income of the applicant should not exceed ₹1,50,000/- per annum.
No member of the family (father, mother, son(s), or unmarried daughter(s)) of the applicant should be in government service.
The applicant should be suffering from cancer.

Applications would be invited in the prescribed form by giving wide publicity through print and electronic media.
Step 01: The applicant should take print of the prescribed format of the application form.
Step 02: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, paste the passport-sized photograph (signed across, if required), and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required).
Step 03: Application should be submitted to the Office of the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) of the concerned area.
Step 04: Request a receipt or acknowledgement from the concerned authority to whom the application has been submitted. Ensure that the receipt contains essential details such as the date and time of submission, and a unique identification number (if applicable).

Passport-size Photograph.
Bank Passbook.
Aadhaar Card.
Income Certificate (issued by the DCM/ Sub Divisional Magistrate).
Certificate From a Gazetted Government Officer That No Person in His/her Family is a Government Servant.
Medical Certificate from Regional Cancer Center, Agartala, or a Govt. Hospital or Any Recognized Hospital.
Proof of Residence (Ration Card, Permanent Resident of Tripura Certificate (PRTC), Voter ID, Driving License, or Passport).
